Operation Instructions for the Indicator Installation 10 2 If the last reading shows a value diffe rent to 1 unit of degree of discolouration then the units are to be divided by the total number of hours in order to define the degree of discolouration 3 Determine the degree of discolouration from the left hand side of the conversa tion table and the pressure from the lower section of the table The point at which the discolouration level and the pressure level cross indicates the ppm value of the oil concentration For every degree of discolouration lying outside 0 24 units hour the degree measured should be divided by an appropriate factor in order to bring the value within the data shown on the conservation table This value should be used to determine the oil concentration ppm This concentration level is then to be multi plied by the same factor as used previously in order to obtain the actual oil concentra tion level Example The degree of colouring in the high pressure side of a pressure reducing valve 550 kPa 80 PSIG corresponds to 0 5 units hour By dividing this figure by 5 0 5 5 0 1 units hour this value remains within the range of the conversation table By defining this new degree within the conversation table the result will be 1 4 ppm Multiply this concentration level by the pre vious factor i e 1 4 x 5 7 0 ppm in order to obtain the actual oil concentration level of the a
