Chapter 2 5 2 2 HDD Installation 1 Loosen and remove the six screws fixing the back cover by 1 Phillips screwdriver 2 Draw out the assembly from the case 3 Loosen and remove the four screws fixing the main board by 1 Phillips screwdriver 6 Chapter 2 4 Unplug the power switch cable from the mainboard The main board is separated from the main board bracket 5 Connect the IDE cable to the HDD and tighten the four screws to fix the HDD to the main board bracket by 1 Phillips screwdriver as shown below Chapter 2 F 2 3 RAM Installation How to Install the RAM Align and insert the new RAM in the slot and push both ends of the RAM down until the ejectors snap into place How to Uninstall the RAM Open the tow ejectors on the slot by pushing them and remove the RAM from the slot Brroooa 8 Chapter 2 3 Mainboard and Component Replacement 3 1 How to dissemble the mainboard from the device 1 Loosen and remove the metal O ring fixing the phone jack by O ring tool 2 Loosen and remove the ten hexagonal bolts fixing COM ports and the VGA port by hexagon socket spanner 3 Loosen and remove the two screws fixing LVDS connector in the blue circle by 0 Phillips screwdriver Chapter 3 9 4 Remove the front cover from the device by pulling back easily 5 Loosen and remove the four screws fixing the main board by 1 Phillips screwdriver 6 Unplug the po2. 3. ase unplug the power cable before you start to work 2 Please read and follow the instructions in this document carefully Failure to follow these instructions could damage your device and void the warranty 1 1 Tools Suggested All procedures in this document require the following tools 0 Phillips screwdriver 1 Phillips screwdriver magnetized suggested magnetized suggested i ES lt 1 5 mm hexagon socket spanner O Ring Tool magnetized suggested needlenose pliers Chapter 1 1 2 Remove the Device from the LCD Stand 1 Adjust the LCD to the proper angle as shown below 2 Unplug the phone jack cable from the LCD assembly 2 Chapter 2 4 Unplug another end of the phone jack cable from the main device 6 Remove the four screws fixing the right hinge in blue circles ant clockwise by 0 Phillips screwdriver as shown below Chapter 2 7 Remove the four screws fixing the left hinge in blue circles ant clockwise by 0 Phillips screwdriver as shown below 8 Draw the main device out of the LCD stand in the direction as shown below 4 Chapter 2 Opening the Device 2 1 Remove the Front Cover 1 Loosen and remove the six screws fixing the front cover by 1 Phillips screwdriver 2 Remove the front cover from the device by pulling back easily Beware that the LED indicator is connected to the front cover 3 Unplug the three green LED indicator from the front cover

5. from the mainboard 3 8 Power Switch Dissemble 1 Push out and remove the power switch by slot type screwdriver in the direction as shown below 1 6 Chapter 3 4 LCD Panel Assembly 4 1 LCD Stand Removal 1 Loosen and remove the three screws in the blue circle as shown below by 1 Phillips screwdriver and then remove the left LCD stand 2 Loosen and remove the three screws in the blue circle as shown below by 1 Phillips screwdriver and then remove the right LCD stand Chapter 3 17 4 2 Hinge Removal Loosen and remove the three screws in the blue circle as shown below and remove the hinge from the LCD stand 4 3 LCD Assembly Dissemble 1 Remove the rear panel from the LCD assembly 2 Loosen and remove the four screws in blue circles as shown below by 1 Phillips screwdriver 1 8 Chapter 3 Chapter 3 3 Loosen and remove the two screws fixing the SCSI connector in blue circles as shown below by 1 Phillips screwdriver 5 Unplug the speaker cable as shown below 6 Loosen and remove the three connectors in blue circle and the black 19 20 tape as shone below black tape 7 Loosen and remove the screw in blue circle as shone below by 1 Phillips screwdriver Chapter 3 Chapter 3 9 Remove the LCD panel as shown below Install the new LCD and re assemble the LCD assembly in the reverse procedure from Step 15 to Step 1 21
