SCREW COLLAR CANOPY Installation Instructions Warning Be sure the electricity to the wires you are working on is shut off either the Fuse removed or the Circuit Breaker set at Off White Neg House Supply Ground Black Pos Outlet box Crossbar Nipple Screw Collar loop gen Be t a NE 9g ae Hex nut ui ETTI ILLAS LLI lamp assembly not shown FORTE L 1G HTIN G 1 Attach crossbar to outlet box screws not provided 2 Screw nipple into crossbar using hex nut as a stop to keep nipple from threading to crossbar to far 3 Screw screw collar loop on to nipple 4 Pass canopy over screw collar loop Approximately hall of the screw collar loop exterior thread should be exposed Adjust loop and hex nut as required Remove canopy 5 Using a pair of pliers open one end link of chain and attach it to fixtures loop Close link completely 6 Slip collar then canopy on to chain 7 Open other end link of chain and attach it to screw collar loop with fixture atlached to other end Close end link completely 8 Lace cord and ground wire up chain through screw collar loop and through nipple into outlet box 9 Wrap bare copper wire around green grounding screw leaving a 6 lead Tighten green ground screw Attach the 6 lead to the house supply ground using a wire nut 10 Connect ribbed wire A to white wire from ceiling and connect other wire B to
4. black wire from ceiling Cap off both connection with wire nuts 11 Carefully tuck wires into outlet box Then raise caknopy to ceiling secure in place by tightening collar on to screw collar loop P 01 WALL OR CEILING LANTERN GENERAL 1 To ensure the success of the installation be sure to read these installation dnd the diagram thoroughly before beginning 2 All electrical connections must be accordance with local codes ordinance or the National Electrical Code If you are unfamiliar with mathods of instaliing electrical wiring secure the services of a qualified electrician 3 These fixtures are intended to be mounted to a outlet box The box must be directly supported by the building structure 4 NOTE Before starting the installation disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box Turning the power off using the light switch is not suffici ent to prevent eletrical shook INSTALLATIOR 1 1f you are replacing an existing fixture disconnect and remove the old fixture Expose the supply wiring from the outlet box 2 fasten the mounting bracket to the outlet box using the two screws supplied with the outlet box If the nipple is attached to the fixure body attach the nipple to the mounting bar at least 3 complete turn to ensure proper secured by a lock nut Secured fixture body by nipple is not in ali model 3 Lift the fixture to the ceiling 1f it is a wall lantern Lift
