Front right speaker Surround right speaker Center speaker Woofer low e Tweeter high 1 4 99 H e I Surround left speaker Front left speaker 23 Connecting Antennas This section explains how to connect the supplied indoor FM antenna and AM loop antenna and how to connect commercially available outdoor FM and AM antennas The AV controller won t pick up any radio signals without any antenna connected so you must connect the antenna to use the tuner AM antenna push terminals 1 E E E mm FM antenna jack Connecting the Indoor FM Antenna The supplied indoor FM antenna is for indoor use only 1 Attach the FM antenna as shown 759 Insert the plug fully into the jack Once your AV controller is ready for use you ll need to tune into an FM radio station and adjust the position of the FM antenna to achieve the best possible reception 2 Usethumbtacks or something similar to fix the FM antenna into position Caution Be careful that you don t injure yourself when using thumbtacks If you cannot achieve good reception with the supplied indoor FM antenna try a commercially available out door FM antenna instead see page 25 24 Connecting the AM Loop Antenna The supplied indoor AM loop antenna is for indoor use only 1 Assemble the AM loop an

Continued Using the Remote Controller in Zone 2 3 and Multiroom Control Kits To control the AV controller with the remote controller while you re in Zone 2 or Zone 3 you ll need a commer cially available multiroom remote control kit for each zone Multiroom kits are made by Niles and Xantech These kits can also be used when there isn t a clear line of sight to the AV controller s remote sensor such as when it s installed inside a cabinet Using a Multiroom Kit with Zone 2 3 In this setup the IR receiver in Zone 2 3 picks up the infrared signals from the remote controller and feeds them through to the AV controller in the main room via the connecting block IR IN AorB aa p MI IR Receiver Connecting block BS Remote controller Main room Zone 2 3 lt Signal flow The miniplug cable from the connecting block should be connected to the AV controller s IR IN A or B jack as shown below The IR IN A and B jacks are identical Up to two IR receivers can be connected From the connecting block Miniplug cable AV controller Using a Multiroom Kit with a Cabinet In this setup the IR receiver picks up the infrared signals from the remote controller and feeds them to the AV con troller located in the cabinet via the connecting block Zi H rH IR Receiver Connecting block con IR IN AorB Inside cab
