NOTE e Manually moving the Horizontal Vane or Vertical Louvers by hand could damage the mechanism When the unit is shut off the the Horizontal Vane and Vertical Louvers will close the air outlet vent of the product Air Conditioner memorizes the last operated angle So there is possibility of difference in the angle of Remote Controller and the unit after reoperation In that case angle can be adjusted by pressing the Vane Control Button on the Remote Controller e When connected to the Multi Outdoor unit the vertical louvers may automatically move for a specific temperature zone at the cooling mode ex 1 Step gt 2 Step 5 Step gt 4 Step 16 Air Conditioner Operating Instructions Jet Cool Heat Operation Jet cool function can be used to cool the room quickly in hot summer When this function is turned on the air conditioner runs in cooling operation mode with super high fan speed and 18 C 64 F setting temperature for 30 minutes for fast and effective cooling Similarly jet heat function available only in some models warms up the room quickly by operating at super high fan speed and 30 C 86 F setting temperature for 30 minutes You can activate this operation by pressing the JET COOL BUTTON To change from jet cool mode to high fan speed cooling mode press the JET COOL BUTTON or INIDOOR FAN SPEED SELECTOR BUTTON or the ROOM TERPERATURE SETTING BUTTON again NOTE e Jet Cool Heat operation cannot be activated

Operation F This operation circulates the air without cooling or heating It can be Hh activated by pressing the OPERATION MODE SELECTION as BUTTON Once the air circulation is activated you can select the fan speed by pressing the INDOOR FAN SPEED SELECTION BUTTON NOTE During this opertion Cooling lamp lights up Auto Clean Operation 1 During Auto Clean Operation moistures left in indoor units after cooling operation or healthy dehumidification operation can be removed Now whenever the unit is turned off the indoor fan is still running E for about 30 minutes internally without cooling or dehumidification operation This function dries up any remains of moisture amp cleans iq c the unit internally If you push the Auto Clean button again this function is cancelled 3k m Select Auto Clean Operation by the function setting button 3 During Auto Clean fuction only ON OFF button Plasma button Auto Clean button is used During this operation Cooling lamp lights up 0 ti Plasma filter is a technology developed by LG to get rid of microscopic contaminants in the intake air by generating a plasma of high charge electrons This plasma kills and destroys the contaminants completely to provide clean and hygienic air FAN SPEED Plasma purification operation can be started by pressing the PLASMA BUTTON on the remote controller Repressing it will deactivate the oper

Service 44 CAUTION Before performing any maintenance turn off the main power to the system disconnect the circuit breaker and unplug the power cord Indoor Unit i Clean the unit with a soft dry cloth Do not use bleach or abrasives A CAUTION Never use any of these e Water hotter than 40 C 104 F It may cause deformation and discoloration e Volatile substances They may damage the surface of the air conditioner Air Filters The air filters behind the front panel grill should be checked and cleaned once in every amp je 2 weeks or more often if necessary To remove the filters see the self explanatory diagrams for each model type Clean the filters with a vacuum cleaner _ or warm soapy water If dirt is not easily removed wash with a solution of detergent in luke warm water Dry well in shade after washing and reinstall the filters back in place Plasma Filter The plasma filters behind the air filter should be checked and cleaned once in every 3 months or more often if necessary To remove the filters see the self explanatory diagrams for each model type Clean the filters with a vacuum cleaner If it is dirty wash it with water and dry well in shade an install back in place Allergy Free Filter Triple Filter Remove the Allergy Free Filter Triple Filter behind the air filter and expose them in direct sunlight for 2 hours And then insert these filters into original position Removal of Filters Open the f

11. ation NOTE e This features can be used in any operation mode and fan speed by pressing the plasma button Separate plasma purification operation is possible in stop condition It is cancelled by pressing plasma button or on off button Owner s Manual 13 Operating Instructions Energy Saving Cooling Mode Optio Energy saving cooling mode can save energy in cooling operation because it can operate efficiently by setting body adaptation time according to the change of time and temperature and adjusting desired temperature automatically x 1 Press the ON OFF BUTTON to start the unit 2 Open the cover of the remote controller Select cooling operation le ep 3 Press the ENERGY SAVING COOLING MODE BUTTON g pa 4 To cancel the energy saving cooling mode press the ENERGY SAVING COOLING MODE BUTTON again and unit will operate in previous mode Cooling mode Display Luminosity Optional The unit display Luminosity can be adjusted by using the remote controller Open the cover of the remote controller and press the LED LUMINOSITY button A Display LED will be dark Press the button again to set bright display ws The order of 100 gt 50 LUMINOSITY is repeated whenever you press the button Setting the Current Time l 1 Press the TIMER BUTTON For 3 seconds Press the TIMER SETTING BUTTONS until the desired time is set the lt gt button By pressing the w button you can set the current tim

20. lation Auto Operation Optional Auto Changeover Optional For cooling or heating operation set the desired indoor temperature by pressing the ROOM TEMPERATURE SETTING BUTTONS For cooling the temperature can be set within 18 C 30 C 64 F 86 F and for heating the temperature range is 16 C 30 C 60 F 86 F Set the fan speed with the remote controller You can select the fan speed in six steps low FAN sree medium low medium medium high high and natural wind by pressing the INDOOR FAN SPEED SELECTION BUTTON Each time the button is pressed the fan speed mode is shifted in the direction of the arrow y gt gt Step1 Low Step2 Medium low Step3 Medium Step4 Medium high Step5 High Natural Wind Natural wind 1 For fresher feeling press the INDOOR FAN SPEED SELECTION BUTTON and set to Natural wind mode In this mode the wind blows like a natural breeze by automatically changing fan speed Owner s Manual 11 Operating Instructions This operation is basically heating or cooling function of the air conditioner But during this operation the controller changes the operation mode automatically to keep the temperature within 2 C with respect to the setting temperature lt For Cooling Model gt The temperature and fan speed are automatically set by the electronic controls based on the actual room temperature If you feel hot or cold press TEMPERATURE SETTING buttons for
21. more cooling or heating effect You cannot switch the indoor fan speed It has already been set by the Auto Operation Mode rule Please select the code as per your requirement Code Feel Cold Slightly cool Neutral Slightly warm Warm lt For Heating Model gt You can set desired temperature and indoor fan speed Setting Temp Range 18 30 C 64 F 86 F NO gp 8 You can not set the actual setting temperature and the fan speed in this operation mode But you can use the Auto swing in this operation If the system is not operating as desired switch manually to another mode During Healthy Dehumidification Operation 1 If you select the dehumidification mode on the OPERATION MODE MODE SELECTION BUTTON the product starts to run the dehumidification function It automatically sets the room temperature and airflow volume to the best condition for dehumidification based on the sensed current room temperature In this case however the setting temperature is not displayed on the remote amp gt controller and you are not able to control the room temperature either During the healthy dehumidification function the fan speed is automatically set according to the optimization algorithm responding to the current room temperature status so that the room condition is kept healthy and comfortable even in the very humid season 12 Air Conditioner Operating Instructions Air Circulation
