1. 4 Turn the tool s throttle or switch to the off position refer to Operation section for description of controls 5 Close the in line safety valve be tween the compressor and the tool 6 Turn on air compressor according to manufacturer s directions and allow it to build up pressure until it cycles off N Adjust the air compressor s output regulator so that the air output is enough to properly power the tool but the output will not exceed the tool s maximum air pressure at any time Adjust the pressure gradually while checking the air output gauge to set the right pressure range 8 Inspect the air connections for leaks Repair any leaks found Page 7 9 Ifthe tool will not be used at this time turn off and detach the air sup ply safely discharge any residual air pressure and release the throttle and or turn the switch to its off posi tion to prevent accidental operation Note Residual air pressure should not be present after the tool is disconnected from the air supply However it is a good safety measure to attempt to discharge the tool in a safe fashion after disconnecting to ensure that the tool is disconnected and unpowered OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT A SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product Inspect tool before use looking for damaged loose and missing parts2. 11. e Select appropriate size 1 2 drive socket Use only impact type sockets Push and snap socket not included onto Anvil 30 SKU 66886 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 8 SKU 66886 The Air Impact Wrench can be used in either Forward or Reverse To op erate in Forward turn the Regulator Knob 42 clockwise or to the right NOTE There are three torque set tings for the Forward direction For Reverse turn the Regulator Knob to counterclockwise or to the left NOTE There is only one torque set tings for the Reverse direction To tighten place the socket over the nut you wish to tighten Hold the Rubber Grip 40 firmly and gently squeeze the Trigger 2 To loosen set the Regulator Knob to the Reverse setting Place socket not included over de sired nut hold Rubber Grip 40 firmly and gently squeeze the Trigger 2 If tool requires more force to accomplish task in Forward or Reverse setting verify tool receives sufficient unobstructed airflow CFM and increase the pressure PSI output of regulator up to maximum air pressure rating of tool CAUTION TO PREVENT TOOL AND ACCESSORY FAILURE RESULTING IN INJURY Do not exceed tool s maximum air pressure rating 90 PSI If tool still does not have sufficient force at maximum pressure and sufficient airflow then a larger tool may be required When the nut is tightened or loos ened release the Trigger To preven
