SI Before attaching to your air line adjust the air pressure regulator to no more than 90 PSI Work Piece and Work Area Set Up 1 Designate a work area that is clean and well lit The work area must not allow access by children or pets to prevent injury and distraction Route the air hose along a safe route to reach the work area without creat ing a tripping hazard or exposing the air hose to possible damage The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working Secure loose work pieces using a vise or clamps not included to pre vent movement while working There must not be hazardous ob jects such as utility lines or foreign objects nearby that will present a hazard while working Because cut metal is sharp always wear ANSI approved goggles and heavy work gloves when operating this tool Protect your work surface work material and nearby objects from being damaged by the sharp edges produced by this tool Have a safe disposal ready for cut off scraps SKU 65706 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 9 General Operating Instructions 11 SKU 65706 If an automatic oiler is not used add a few drops of Pneumatic Tool Oil 12 to the airline connection before use Add a few drops more after each hour of continual use Mark the line you want to cut on the work material Since this tool re moves 7 32 of material as i

11. charge the tool in a safe fashion after disconnecting to ensure that the tool is disconnected and unpowered For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 8 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT A SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product Inspect tool before use looking for damaged loose and missing parts If any problems are found do not use tool until repaired Tool Set Up TO PREVENT AWARNING SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION Turn off the tool detach the air supply safely discharge any residual air pressure in the tool and release the throttle and or turn the switch to its off position before performing any inspection maintenance or cleaning procedures TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY Do not adjust or tamper with any control or component in a way not specifically explained within this manual Improper adjustment can result in tool failure or other serious hazards 1 Remove plastic protective cap from Air Inlet 36 2 Attach Standard Male Air Coupling not included Use sealer tape or putty and tighten enough to ensure an air tight seal This tool has a safety Trigger 9 To depress the Trigger you must first press the safety lock part of the Trigger out of the way This prevents accidental activation of the Trigger This tool is designed to run at 90 P
12. e in addition to the regular checks and maintenance explained as part of the regular op eration of the air operated tool Daily Air Supply Maintenance Every day perform maintenance on the air supply according to the com ponent manufacturers instructions The lubricator s oil level needs to be maintained and the moisture filter must be regularly drained Performing routine maintenance on the air sup ply will allow the tool to operate more safely and will also reduce wear on the tool Quarterly every 3 months Tool Disassembly Cleaning and In spection Have the internal mechanism cleaned inspected and lubricated by a qualified technician If the vanes need replacement all vanes should be replaced as a set If the Laser Light ceases to function check the Batteries 39 Unscrew the ON OFF Switch 40 by turning it counterclockwise Drop the Batter ies 39 out of the Tube 38 Replace the batteries matching the polarity marked on the Tube Replace the ON OFF Switch If the laser light still does not light recheck the polarity positions of the batteries For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 11 If the Laser Light ceases to function check the batteries Troubleshooting Possible Causes Likely Solutions Decreased output Housing heats during use Severe air leakage Slight air leakage is normal especially on older tools Laser does not light 1 Not enough

17. t cuts al low for this when marking the cut line Secure the work piece to the work table using clamps or other suitable fasteners If you will be using the Laser 37 turn it on now by pressing the ON OFF Switch 40 Turn the tool ON before applying itto 13 the material Press the safety catch out of the way and squeeze the Trig ger 9 The tool will begin to operate Apply the cutting blades 31 33 to the edge of the work material and begin to cut Follow your marked cutting line If you are using the Laser 37 the Laser Beam will help you follow the cutting line Do not support the material by hold ing it underneath You can easily cut your fingers doing this When the cut is completed release the Trigger and the tool will cease operating If you have used the Laser 37 turn it OFF by pushing the ON OFF Switch 40 Disconnect the tool from its air supply and set it aside For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Remove the clamps securing the work piece to the work table If the tool requires more force to accomplish the task verify that the tool receives sufficient unobstructed airflow CFM and increase the pres sure PSI output of the regulator up to the maximum air pressure rating of this tool CAUTION TO PREVENT TOOL AND ACCESSORY FAILURE RE SULTING IN INJURY Do not exceed the tool s maximum air pressure rating If the tool still does not have sufficient f
18. tains an air valve that will allow the air tool to retain pressure and operate accidentally after the air supply is disconnected Note Air flow and therefore tool perfor mance can be hindered by under sized air supply components 3 The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working 4 Make sure the tool s throttle or switch is in the off position refer to Opera tion section for description of con trols 5 Close the in line safety valve be tween the compressor and the tool 6 Turn on the air compressor according to the manufacturer s directions and allow it to build up pressure until it cycles off 7 Adjust the air compressor s output regulator so that the air output is enough to properly power the tool but the output will not exceed the tool s maximum air pressure at any time Adjust the pressure gradually SKU 65706 while checking the air output gauge to set the right pressure range Inspect the air connections for leaks Repair any leaks found If the tool will not be used at this time turn off and detach the air sup ply safely discharge any residual air pressure and release the throttle and or turn the switch to its off posi tion to prevent accidental operation Note Residual air pressure should not be present after the tool is disconnected from the air supply However itis a good safety measure to attempt to dis
