2. 1 Connect the coaxial cable from your cable service to the IN jack on your cable box 2 Connect a coaxial cable not supplied from the OUT jack on your cable box to the VHF UHF jack on your TV f To view channels from your cable box tune your TV to channel 3 or 4 as set on the rear panel of your cable box and use the cable box s remote control to change channels f f you will be controlling all channel selection through your cable box you should consider using the Channel Fix feature by setting your TV to channel 3 or 4 see page 25 Connecting a TV VCR and Cable Box f DIGITAL CABLE BOX USERS If you are connecting a digital cable box you will need a special bi directional splitter 5 900 Mhz mininum that is designed to work with your digital cable box Use this connection if you subscribe to a cable system that scrambles some channels pay channels but not all of them This setup allows you to change channels through your cable box or VCR when you are receiving a scrambled signal Q change channels through your TV Rear of TV VIDEO AUDIOL AUDIOR Video yellow Audio L white Audio R red 2b UJ m E 1 Splitter VIDEO AUDIOL AUDIOR Cable box 1 Connect the single input jack of the splitter not supplied to your incoming cable connection 2
