OFF is used to cut sound from the TV speakers L C R is used to issue all the sound from the TV speakers 5 Press the button to complete the set tings The menu disappears Note Use the Amplifier volume to control and set volume of the Front speakers to the optimum for the TV speakers When the sound quality of the Audio system is pref erable to the TV s speakers you can set the TV SPEAKER to OFF to cut the sound of the TV speak ers Setting the DOLBY PRO LOGIC func tion Set the items in the sub menu of the DOLBY PRO LOGIC function properly and use the test signal to control the vol ume level of the speakers so that you can listen to the sounds from them uniformly Be sure to perform this operation before using the DOLBY PRO LOGIC function Preparation f you have had the headphones connected with your TV set disconnect them e Increase the sound volume of the TV speakers to a level at which you ordinarily listen If you do not do this before start ing the operation it is impossible to control the volume from within the function When you are using an Audio system however set the am plifier volume to zero to cut the Front speakers Then pre set the TV sound volume level to about 10 1 Press the button to display the MENU main menu 2 Press the W A buttons to choose DIGITAL SURROUND Then press the lt button to display the DIGITAL SURROUND menu 3 Press the V A buttons to choo

9. double pictures ghosting will occur Try to change the aerial s direction or replace the antenna with the one with better directionality Are your COLOUR SYSTEM settings correct Follow the description COLOUR SYSTEM on page 18 to try to solve the trouble Has COLOUR or BRIGHT been controlled properly Follow the description Picture Adjustment on page 17 to try to ad just them properly Videotaping teletext is not recommended because it may not record correctly When a white and bright still image such as a white dress is displayed on the screen the white part may look as if it were coloured It is a phenomenon unavoidable due to the nature of the picture tube itself and not due to a TV failure When the picture disappears from the screen the unnatural colours will also disappear Poor sound Have you adjusted BASS or TREBLE properly If not follow the description Sound Adjustment on page 20 to try to ad just them properly When the TV channel reception is poor it can be hard to hear the stereo or bilingual sound In this case follow the description STEREO Iell on page 20 to hear the sound more easily by changing it to a mono sound Operation disabled Have the batteries of the remote control become exhaust ed Follow the description Putting Batteries into the Re mote Control on page 4 and replace them with new batteries to try to solve the problem Have you attempted to
