Liebert PSS Surge Suppressor Quick Start Guide Models PRF 1080 NET 1080T IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS This manual contains important instructions that should be followed during installation and maintenance of the Liebert PSS surge suppressor e Intended for installation in a controlled environment e Maximum ambient temperature 104 F 40 C CAUTION A To reduce the risk of fire connect only to a circuit provided with 15 amperes maximum branch circuit EMERSON Network Power Locate the surge suppressor near a wall outlet Do not use an extension cord between the surge suppressor and the outlet The Liebert PSS has been designed for small office home office use only it is NOT recommended for use in life support applications In the event of an emergency press the OFF button and disconnect the power cord from the AC power supply to properly disable the surge suppressor Do not attach power strips or other surge suppressors to the Liebert PSS surge suppressor overcurrent protection in accordance with the national code ANSI NFPA 70 e Do not connect equipment that may overload the surge suppressor or demand half wave rectification such asa laser printer e Connect the surge suppressor only to an earthed grounded outlet that meets national and local electrical safety guidelines e Do not attempt to service any parts inside the surge sup pressor Failure to adhere to
