COV will be shown on the channel screen Note To hide the wording COV When this function is on please go to DISPLAY and set DISPLAY COVERT to OFF For details please refer to 7 1 6 Display at page 27 REC Select if you want to enable recording for the selected channel ON OFF When this function is activated the symbol will be shown on the channel screen 7 1 2 Detection In this submenu you can set up detection related functions Move to DETECTION and press ENTER You will see the following screen TITLE DET AREA CH1 OFF SETUP CH2 OFF SETUP CH3 OFF SETUP CH4 OFF SETUP PLEASE CONSULT YOUR INSTALLER FOR ADVANCE SETTING TA SELECT BACK gt NEXT ENTER 1 2 3 The submenu items are described below TITLE Show the camera title of each channel set in CAMERA DET Select if you want to activate the motion detection function for the selected channel ON OFF AREA There are 16 x 12 grids per camera for all channels Pink blocks represent the area that is not being detected while the transparent blocks are the area under detection Press ENTER on the control panel of the DVR to set the detection area You will see similar screens as the following ei AAA E Transparent blocks are the area Press lt gt to choose the width under detection of the area Press ENTER to confirm the start area 22 ADVA

Connecting to DVR video input Connect the camera video output to the DVR video input port with a coaxial cable or a RCA cable with BNC connectors Note For DCCS camera connection it s not allowed to loop the channel which connects to a DCCS camera to the other channel of this DVR or to other DVR which also supports the DCCS function Note When using the loop function make sure the resistance on the rear panel is switched to HI IMPEDANCE For details please refer to 2 2 Rear Panel at page 6 3 Configuring camera parameters For zoom lens control cameras only Set the camera parameters For details please refer to 7 1 8 Remote at page 29 3 3 Power Setup This device should be operated only with the type of power source indicated on the manufacturer s label Connect the indicated AC power cord to the power adapter and plug into an electrical outlet Press POWER and the LED DY will be on Note To ensure that your DVR works constantly and properly it s recommended to use an UPS Uninterruptible Power Supply for continuously operation Optional 10 CONNECTIONS AND SETUP 3 4 Date and Time Setting Note Please DO NOT change the date or time of your DVR after the recording function is activated Otherwise the recorded data will be disordered and you will not be able to find the recorded file to backup by time search If users change the date or time accidentally when the recording function is activated it
