CLANES ie ii a BE 8 ze eure CIT 9 CH 866 User Manual 2 2007 08 06 11 38 1 BEFORE YOU BEGIN What is included YYYY 1 x CH 866 Controller Power Cord Warranty Card User Manual Unpacking Instructions AC Power Warning Contact Us Immediately upon receiving a controller carefully unpack the carton check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and have been received in good condition Notify the shipper immediately and retain packing material for inspection if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the carton itself shows signs of mishandling Save the carton and all packing materials In the event that a controller must be returned to the factory it is important that the fixture be returned in the original factory box and packing To determine the power requirements for a particular fixture see the label affixed to the back plate of the fixture or refer to the fixture s specifications chart A fixture s listed current rating is its average current draw under normal conditions All fixtures must be powered directly off a switched circuit and cannot be run off a rheostat variable resistor or dimmer circuit even if the rheostat or dimmer channel is used solely for a 0 to 100 switch Before applying power toa Figure 1 AC Voltage Switch fixture check that the source voltage matches the fixture s requirement Check the fixture or device carefully to make sure that if a voltage selection switch exists that

Foot Switch CH FSLS Product Overview Power Outputs On Off Switch Multi position Function dial Sound Sensitivity Adjustment Knob CH 866 User Manual 5 LED Indicators Fuses one per channel Speed adjustment knob 2007 08 06 11 38 3 SETUP Disconnect the power cord before replacing a fuse and always replace with the same type fuse Fuse Replacement This unit is equipped with four 4 fuses one per channel The following method is for replacing one fuse to replace multiple fuses repeat steps as necessary With a Phillips head screwdriver unscrew the fuse holder from its housing Remove the damaged fuse from its holder and replace with exact same type fuse Screw the fuse holder back in its place and reconnect power The fuse is located inside this compartment Remove using a Phillips head screwdriver FUSE RIGGING Hanging Clamp It is important never to obstruct the fan or vents pathway Mount the fixture using a suitable C or O type clamp Adjust the angle of the fixture by loosening both knobs and tilting the fixture After finding the desired position retighten both knobs e When selecting installation location take into consideration lamp replacement access and routine maintenance e Safety cables must always be used Note e Never mount in places where the fixture will be exposed to rain high Clamp is sold separately humidity extreme temperature changes or restricted ven

9. tilation CH 866 User Manual 6 2007 08 06 11 38 4 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Operation The unit has been designed to hold a maximum of 1 800 watts on a single 15 Amp circuit Unit features 4 channels with two AC outlets per channel Simply plug lights into the AC outlets located on the front of the unit Operate Par Cans Pinspots Mini Moons and more Maximum load per channel is 600 watts 5A at 120V Once plugged in you will need to turn the power switch to the on position in order to power up the unit Unit can chase to music via the built in microphone or automatically advance through the built in 16 chase patterns depending upon the mode Indicator lights on front of unit will flash according to pattern Sound sensitivity and speed can be adjusted via the knobs located on the front of the unit Controllers may be linked for added versatility via CH DIN20O linking cable sold separately You can also utilize the foot switch controller CH FSLS to control the functions of the unit This unit provides five modes of operation accessible via the functions dial located on the front of the unit The five modes are as follows chase all on 16 pattern chase to sound auto all flash Turn the functions dial to switch between modes Adjust the speed control and sound sensitivity dial on front of unit to desired level Switch between modes to create ever changing patterns and effects Overview of Bottom of Unit Optional
