2. 3 Usura normale del tagliente Le incrostazioni superficiali sono causate da resine presenti nel legno che per surriscaldamento Aderiscono alla superficie del tagliente formando una patina che inte gra i trucioli impedendone il regolare deflusso Si rende cosi necessario eseguire alme no settimanalmente la pulizia della lama utilizzando solventi capaci di ammorbidire i grumi Si consiglia di ricorrere il meno possibile ad interventi meccanici di scrostatura mediante utilizzo di lamine metalliche spatole o abrasivi di qualsiasi genere Liquidi ido nei allo scopo si trovano in commercio si utilizzare anche una soluzione di acqua e soda caustica molto diluita Non si faccia mai ricorso a soluzioni acide che possano sviluppare vapori infiammabili e o tossici Le alterazioni della forma e della struttura del tagliente sono dovute principalmente a rotture piccole incrinature o deformazioni localizzate Bisogna prestarvi la massima at tenzione poich pregiudicano l idoneit dell utensile a proseguire la lavorazione L usura normale del tagliente causata dall arrotondamento dovuto al continuo ripetersi di penetrazioni nel legno per risolvere questo problema necessario procedere senza indugio all operazione di affilatura che ha lo scopo di ripristinare la geometria esatta del tagliente There are three main factors which impair cutting performance 1 Surface encrustation 2 Alteration of the shape
