Ap JetAdvantage On Demand HP LaserJet amp Officejet Enterprise MFPs Update firmware using the Embedded Web Server EWS amp Enable More Apps to Use HP JetAdvantage Pull Print What you need to know first Before performing a firmware update review these requirements e If you have a third party solution HP recommends contacting the vendor to make sure that the latest firmware version is compatible with the third party solution e A firmware update can require 10 to 30 minutes or more to complete depending on the speed of the computer and the connection type to the printer and any print jobs pending in the printer queue e The firmware update process requires a network connection e Access to update the firmware will require administrator privileges on the device 1 Download the latest firmware 1 Locate your HP JetAdvantage On Demand compatible MFP model from the list below and click on the link to download firmware Then scroll down to the Firmware table and download the FutureSmart firmware bundle look for the larger file to download Compatible HP LaserJet amp Officejet Enterprise MFPs Download firmware version HP LaserJet Enterprise Color MFP M525 series HP LaserJet Enterprise Color MFP M575 series HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M630 series HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M680 series HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M725 series HP LaserJet Enterprise Color MFP M775 series 323orlater HP LaserJet EnterpriseMFP2. M830series 323orlater HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M880 series HP Officejet Enterprise Color MFP X585 series 2 Optionally download the Readme file to view the latest enhancements and fixes 3 Click Open folder or browse to the location where you saved the file right click the zip file and extract all files Note the location of the bdl file 4 The firmware file is in the format xxxxxxx bdl where xxxxxxxx indicates the firmware version This file will not launch or install automatically 2 Update the firmware through Embedded Web Server EWS The EWS can be used to update the firmware remotely on a network connected device when the printer is in a ready state Follow the instructions below 1 Goto the Embedded Web Server EWS for your device that was previously opened 2 Click the General tab 3 In the left pane click Firmware Upgrade and then click Choose file under install new firmware section Note If an administrator password must be set warning displays click the Security tab click the General Security option in the left pane and then under the Set the Local Administrator password section reset the password 4 Browse to the location where the firmware files were extracted select the bdl file click Install and then wait for the update process to complete Note Do not close the browser window until the HP Embedded Web Server EWS displays the confirmation page 5 On the EWS confirm
3. ation page select Restart Now or turn the product Off and then On again 6 After the printer or MFP is back online verify that the new firmware version is installed Note You can view the Firmware Revision and Datecode under the Current Firmware section of the Firmware Upgrade page found on the General tab of the EWS 7 To enable More Apps click on the Web Services Tab 8 Locate the More Apps link in the left navigation bar and click it 9 Click the check box next to Enable More Apps 10 Scroll to the bottom right of the browser window and click the Apply button 11 Close out of the EWS window and return to HP JetAdvantage Pull Print and click Continue to complete the setup wizard
