1.2. MAVERICK DT 09 Sa Fast Read Digital Probe Thermometer Instruction Manual GENERAL OPERATION 1 Make sure to clean and sterilize the metal probe before use by cleaning in hot water 2 Turn the unit on with On Off button on the face of the unit The unit has an auto off feature that will turn the unit off after 10 minutes to save battery life 3 Select either Fahrenheit or Celsius using the button marked C F on the face of the unit 4 When ready to test insert the probe into the food at least 1 making sure that the tip does not touch bone or fat The LCD will stabilize after about 6 seconds 5 When the digital display is stabilized press the hold button and the temperature will be held on the display the letter H will appear Press the Hold button again to release this feature 6 The unit is equipped with an automatic MAX and MIN temperature feature By pressing the MAX on the face of the unit you will see the maximum registered temperature By pressing the second time you will see the MIN temperature registered Press again to clear the unit 7 To avoid burns the cover of the unit will lock on to the handle extending the length of the thermometer 8 After use clean the probe and sterilize 9 The unit is waterproof and will be able to be immersed in water for 15 minutes however it should not be put in the dishwasher CALIBRATION Your unit has a unique cali
3. bration feature and can be calibrated at any temperature To calibrate the unit press the calibration key on the face of the unit and CAL will display on the LCD of the unit Place the probe into water at a known temperature either an ice water bath or boiling water To increase the temperature press the C F key and the temperature will increase in degrees To decrease the temperature press the Hold button When the temperature is calibrated press the calibration button to release the feature BATTERY REPLACEMENT The thermometer operates on 1 LR44 1 5v battery Change the battery when the display becomes dim To replace battery 1 Open the battery compartment by turning the battery compartment door cover on the back ofthe thermometer counterclockwise using a coin in the slot 2 Remove used battery and insert new one 3 Close the compartment Make sure the o ring is seated around the opening to maintain waterproof feature Note If battery door is not closed properly water can get into the battery compartment causing the unit to malfunction Lifetime Warranty Maverick Industries warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product Upon return of the product prepaid to Maverick Industries 94 Mayfield Avenue Edison NJ 08837 we will repair or replace it at our option free of charge Made in China for Maverick Industries Edison NJ 08837
